How to Protect Yourself against COVID-19

  • If you have recently traveled to an area where the Corona Virus was present, self-isolate for 14 days and contact a health care provider to get tested for the virus if symptoms develop

  • If you are feeling sick in general, stay home until you are better

  • If you have to go out while you are sick to see a health-care provider, wear a medical-grade face mask

  • Always cough into your arm or sneeze into a tissue and wash your hands afterwards

  • Always throw away your used tissues into a garbage can after blowing your nose and wash your hands or use sanitizer – don’t leave your used tissues laying around

  • Sanitize your personal items such as your cell phone, electronic tablets/iPad, debit/credit cards, & car keys frequently

  • Frequently sanitize your work station (landline phone station, keyboard, mouse) and the space around those items

  • Keep your hands away from your face (eyes, nose, mouth)

  • Continue to wash your hands on a regular basis – Wash with hot, soapy water for at least 20 seconds or sing “Happy Birthday” twice  Remember to scrub under your nails

  • Keep hand sanitizer in your car or purse and use after being in a public place

  • And of course, remember to wash your hands once you get home from work, the grocery store, or any other public place
