Square One Medical offers First Aid/CPR/AED certification training classes through the American Heart Association. We offer workplace onsite training in Western Pennsylvania and the Tri-State area, including parts of West Virginia and Ohio.

Here is a brief description of the classes that we offer:

Basic First Aid – This course is for those with limited or no medical training who need a certification to treat victims in an emergency. This class is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours long and teaches participants how to respond to and manage a variety of different emergencies prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. Course content includes:  First aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies.

Heartsaver CPR/AED – This course is for those with limited or no medical training who need a certification in CPR and AED use. This class is about 2 hours long. During this training, participants will learn how to react in a cardiac arrest emergency, the essential skills of performing proper Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and how to properly use an AED. This training involves practicing skills on manikins. This course also covers how to respond to a choking emergency. Child and infant training is optional, but available upon request.

Basic First Aid/CPR/AED – This is our most popular course and is a combination of the first aid course along with the CPR/AED course. This course is about 4 hours long and covers all topics that are listed above.
